Day 1: Arrive in Alice Springs

Arrive in Alice Springs pick up your rental vehicle and begin exploring some of the many attractions within Alice Springs. Alice's attractions can be explored as 6 seperate discovery trails based on themes. Choose and explore one or more of these themes depending on your interests. The Communications theme for example includes the School of the Air (the worlds largest classroom) and the Old Telegraph station. Choose and explore one or more trails that interest you before settling into your accommodation. Your Travel pack includes specific information and recommendations so you can make the most of your time in Alice Springs.

Day 2: Alice Springs to Wattarka (Kings Canyon)

Spend part of the day driving from Alice Springs to Kings Canyon. We recommend spending the morning exploring around Alice Springs and completing the drive between these two locations during the middle of the day. Spend the afternoon exploring the shear cliff walls of Kings Canyon. Choose from the various walks available including the 1.3 km Creek Walk through the Canyon (wheelchair accessible) or the more strenuous 6km Kings Canyon Walk across the top (spectacular).Your Travel pack includes specific information and recommendations so you can make the most of your morning in Alice and decide what time to depart.

Day 3: Wattarka (Kings Canyon) to Uluru (Ayers Rock)

An early morning start gives you the opportunity to do the complete Kings Canyon walk during the coolest part of the day (subject to health and fitness) Spend part of the day driving from Wattarka to Uluru along Luritja Rd and Lasseter highway. Along the way stop over at Kings Creek Station a working cattle/camel station with facilities and the opportunity to experience the outback either by quad (4 wheel motorbike), helicopter or camel. You might even try one of their famous Kings Creek camel burgers for lunch.

In the afternoon check into your your hotel where you can then take the well defined drive to the sunset viewing area. Take some nibbles and wine with you as you watch the sun sink over the western horizon and bring out the many shades of colour for which Uluru is famous. Day 4: Exploring Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park:

A magnificent day exploring the Kata-Tjuta National Park. Spend the morning driving or walking around the base of the rock exploring the many aspects of this amazing monolith. A trip to Uluru is about experiencing and understanding its cultural & spiritual significance. Self Discover or take one of the guided tours that inform about the local flora and fauna, bush foods and the Aboriginal Dreamtime stories.

If you want to take up a guided tour - Choose from the following extra cost options. Option 1) a peaceful 1 hr camel ride over big red sand dunes 2) a hearty sunrise breakfast in an open air dining site and informative talk on local flaura and fauna on a secluded sand dune with 360-degree views 3) A 2hr guided walk of Uluru with local Aboriginal guides who will share ancient bush skills (also includes breakfast) 4) A full guided base walk of Uluru (also includes breakfast)

In the afternoon spend sometime free relaxing by the pool or and exploring the resort's cafe and shopping district.

Day 5: Exploring Uluru - Kata Tjuta National Park:

Day 5 gives you the option to sleep in or wake up early to experience sunrise. Today travel to the mystical 36 domes of Kata Tjuta. Located 50km away on a sealed road some people consider Kata Tjuta to be even more spectacular than Uluru.
Along the way, stop at a lookout for a panoramic view of the southern side of Kata Tjuta. Continue to the base of Walpa Gorge. Spend some time exploring the gorge and the unusual conglomerate rock formations. The walking trail through Walpa Gorge (2.6km / 1 hr return)follows the natural creek between two of the tallest domes of Kata Tjuta. The other (reccommended) Valley of the Winds walk (7.4km / 3.5 hr return) offers views of the spectacular landscape from two lookout points along the track. Please beware that the Valley of the Winds Walk walk is sometimes steep, rocky and difficult.Your Travel pack includes specific information and recommendations so you can make the most of your day.

Day 6: Depart Uluru

Another free morning to relax and sleep in or laze about the pool. For the more adventurous take the opportunity to wake up early and experience another crisp morning and sunrise around the Rock before heading out to the airport for your departure. (Package price assumes vehicle will be returned to the Airportat the same time as it was picked up on Day 1).
