1 Day Cultural Tour Arnhemland

You will travel as part of a small, personalised tour. Maximum 9 passengers. Your tour Guide has excellent knowledge of the area and has a close understanding with the local aboriginal people.
At the invitation of the traditional owners you have access to areas in Arnhemland where an aboriginal guide will show you excellent examples of rock art, and explain the stories they tell.

You will travel in the comfort in an air-conditioned 4WD. After collection from your Jabiru accommodation you we travel past the controversial Jabiluka mine site to historic Cahills Crossing where you enter into Arnhemland.

First stop is Gunbalanya where an Aboriginal guide will accompany the tour party and stay with you on the walk up Injaluk Hill. The hill has excellent examples of art sites, and the view from the top is truly breathtaking - looking out across the floodplains and across to the escarpment. This walk will be a highlight of your day in Aboriginal lands.

At the Injaluk Art & Craft Centre in Gunbalanya - there is time to view the artists working and also to either browse or purchase from the many fine examples of work on display.
