Day 1 Arrive in Darwin and pick
up your vehicle before spending the rest of the day exploring the local highlights
Darwin has to offer such as the fish feeding, Crocodylus
Park & the attractions around Stokes Hill Wharf such as the Outdoor cinema,
amazing WWII tunnels and Indo Pacific Marine.
Darwin is a modern city whose great tropical lifestyle is a real surprise to people
who aren't expecting it. Well attended markets & sensational sunsets cap
off a great day.

2 (Suggestion Only):
Darwin to Kakadu
Day 2 Travel the 260 km from Darwin to Kakadu
National Park along the Arnhem Hwy, stopping at Fogg Conservation Reserve (one
of the most densely biodiverse regions in the world) & the Window on the Wetlands
Visitors Centre. As you continue towards Kakadu consider stopping and doing a
famous jumping croc cruise (discount available).As you enter Kakadu detour to
the Mamukala Wetlands Bird Observatory before heading out to Ubirr Rock &
explore the famous rock art and "must see" sunset over the Wetlands.The
Ubirr Region has the best short walks in Kakadu.

Today offers you the opportunity
to explore the northern sections of Kakadu National park including the option
of a 1/2 hr or 1hr scenic flight over the surrounding wetlands and escarpment
(discounts available). Visit the Bowali Visitor Centre & explore the incredible
rock art and walks around Nourlangie where there is evidence of occupation stretching
back twenty thousand years before heading south to Cooinda and the 1.5hr Yellow
Water Cruise (sunsets are a great time to do this cruise - discounts available).

A fully flexible day with the opportunity
to explore more of the attractions in the central and southern region of Kakadu
at your own pace. Depending on what time you leave the Park take the time to stop
off at historic Pine Creek and a swim at picturesque Edith Falls before arriving
in Katherine.

Around Katherine (Katherine Gorge)
A great day exploring the
spectacle of the river, shear cliffs and rock art that make Katherine Gorge such
a popular attraction. There are three ways to explore the Park, bushwalking, helicopter
flight or boat cruise. The best way to see Katherine Gorge is a combination of
two.

towards Darwin stopping off at attractions of interest before entering the magnificent
